Role Overview

SAPREF invites South African students to apply for the SAPREF Bursary Programme for the 2026 academic year. This bursary supports academically strong students pursuing careers in engineering, science, and business-related fields, helping to build scarce skills within South Africa’s energy sector.

Entry Requirements

• Applicants must meet all of the following minimum requirements:
• Must be a South African citizen
• Must have completed Matric
• Must be studying or intend to study towards an undergraduate qualification in one of the listed fields
• Must be entering 1st or 2nd year of study in 2026
• Must be studying at or accepted to a public university in South Africa(private institutions are not funded)
• Must have a strong academic record
• Failure to meet any of the above requirements may result in disqualification.
